Sparks and licks of flame leapt dazzlingly from her palm as she crouched close to the tree, calmly awaiting the encroaching evil.

A terribly belated Christmas present for that special lady in my life. An avid collector of all things faerie her collection would astound even the most elite fantasy geek.
Painted in Photoshop. Took approximately 6-7 hours, although it was a pleasure from the first stroke to the last.
As much as I've been digging your 'new' style, I'm really pleased to see your triumphant return to the kind of art you used to be so passionate about. (fantasy - related)
The glow radius of the flame in her hand is pretty fucken close to perfect, especially the density of the orange where it should be dense, and how it fades out in approriate places.
Awesome work, Tyrel.
(I also use the term 'new' loosely, because it's not new when you've been doing it for a few years.)

I would just like to thank you for this beautiful present. You have been toiling away, tweaking this style for a while now and it seems to have been worth every second.
It is absolutely beautiful. Thank You.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
